A series of Medical seminars and workshops are regularly organized to achieve the above focus:

INSCOL Academy has identified nine leading nursing schools in Punjab for a strategic partnership to impart English language proficiency to nurse students in their final year of the three year diploma program. The students would also be oriented towards the British nursing education system and other cross-cultural issues. The partner school would also be involved in assessing, motivating & counseling of prospective students for the top-up BSc Hons Nursing program.
 

Daljit Singh Gujral, Managing Director, INSCOL Academy, has been invited by the UK Trade & Investment for the Healthcare Inward Mission to explore further opportunities in the healthcare sector in UK.
 

INSEAD, Fountainbleau(Paris), the leading business school in Europe, has invited Daljit Singh Gujral, Managing Director, INSCOL Academy, to participate in the European Healthcare Leadership Program, sponsored by Johnson & Johnson. The two-week programme is designed to provide a select group of individuals with an educational experience that will equip them with concepts, tools, techniques, and strategies to play significant leadership roles in the rapidly changing and extremely challenging world of healthcare.
It brings together a group of participants from many countries and a variety of professional experiences and organisational affiliations in pursuit of a common objective — to learn together in a demanding and rigorous setting about new approaches to managing and leading in the health sector.
 

To accommodate the increase in number of students for the BSc Hons Nursing program, the existing team, facilities and resources have been enhanced. A 50 seat lecture room with audio-video facility has been added and the number of computers has been increased to 85. Additional band width has also been leased for better internet connectivity. A large number of nursing books & journals have also been added to the library.
 

A team from the Liverpool JM University, constituting of Prof. Godfrey Mazhindu , Dean, Faculty of Health & Social Sciences and Mr.Grahame Smith, Head of Programmes, concluded their visit to INSCOL Academy and have agreed, in principle, to partner with INSCOL Academy, for collaborative delivery of the BSc Hons Mental Health Nursing program.
 

Lord David Puttnam, Chancellor of the University visited India on the 9th March 2005, Mr. Daljit S. Gujral, MD, INSCOL Academy was invited for lunch with Lord at Taj Delhi.
 

Second Cohort of nurses of twenty five students commenced on 14th February 2005.
 

Judith Miller, a renowned NCLEX/CGFNS trainer from USA, held a four day camp, in Chandigarh, for nurses preparing for the CGFNS examination.
 

Dr. Nishi Garg, has been appointed as INSCOL Academy’s franchisee in Faridkot, Punjab, under Category B. This centre would be offering the CGFNS training program to Nurses and propose to upgrade the centre to Category A by offering training programs to Doctors as well, in the near future.
 

Dr. Praveen Sareen, has been appointed as INSCOL Academy’s franchisee in Amritsar, Punjab, under Category A. This centre would be offering the entire spectrum of training programs to Nurses as well as Doctors.

Dr. Anju Gupta has been appointed as INSCOL Academy's franchisee in Bathinda, Punjab, under Category B. This centre would be offering CGFNS training to nurses as well as on-line training programs for Doctors.
 

INSCOL Academy has acquired the contents rights of the MD/MS preparatory program from Med Xel. Med Xel has been the leading provider of tutorials for the Indian Medical PG entrance examination. INSCOL proposes to offer the tutorial, with value addition through CBT & Web based access, to the students from March, 2004 onwards.
 

SEMINAR ON USMLE/PLAB -
20/12/2003 at INSCOL Academy, Chandigarh

Seminar on USMLE & PLAB was conducted by Dr. Jayant Banerji, MD Internal Medicine in Chandigarh on the 20^th Dec, 2003  and on the 18^th Dec, 2003 at Ludhiana.
It was highly appreciated by Doctors who participated in the seminar. Highlights of the seminar were Academy’s training program for USMLE in collaboration with EXAM MASTER and for PLAB with PLAB MASTER.

One should learn enough to save a life.
A discussion forum was held on the aforesaid issue at INSCOL Academy by Dr. N.P.Singh, MD, Internal Medicine.

Identifying pressure and stress , coping with it with the help of valuable pointers and deep breathing exercises was the aim of the session taken for class X by Dr. Ashwin Mohan. Practical demonstrations encouraged a healthy interaction amongst by students.

Adolescents bring with them a host of emotional and physical changes. Helping the girls of Shivalik Public School understanding the biological changes and implications of abuse was the core message of the session. The session helped clarify a lot of myths and at the same time opened an arena of valuable information

Guru Nanak Public School senior wing classes VI, VII underwent a through Dental Check up with special tips on HOW TO ACHIEVE A PERFECT SMILE. Dr. Ankur Dixit and Dr. Avani Dixit from 8th Sept. to 29th Sept conducted Camp over a period of 4 weeks.

St Stephens School invited Dr. Deepak Kaura, DM Cardiology, to take a session on Coronary Artery Disease for its members and more than 100 staff members on 6^th Sept., 2003
 

Honoring our commitment to our esteemed Health Plan members a Medical Awareness Seminar was organized on 30^th august, 2003. Our specialists enlightened the members on “Common Myths about Diabetes” – by Dr. Jayant Banerjee, “ Preventive Coronary Artery Disease” by Dr. Deepak Kaura and “Prevention of Cervical Cancer” by Dr. Simmanjit.

Oral hygiene and Dental care check up for the students of class VI & VII at DAV Public School, Sector 8 was held by Dr. Ankur Dixit.
