23.10.04 JUDITH MILLER CAMP
 


Judith Miller, a renowned NCLEX/CGFNS trainer from USA, held a four day camp, in Chandigarh, for nurses preparing for the CGFNS examination.
 


15.10.04 NEW FRANCHISEE AT FARIDKOT
 

Dr. Nishi Garg, has been appointed as INSCOL Academy’s franchisee in Faridkot, Punjab, under Category B. This centre would be offering the CGFNS training program to Nurses and propose to upgrade the centre to Category A by offering training programs to Doctors as well, in the near future.
 


04.10.04 COMMENCEMENT OF BSc NURSING PROGRAM
 

The first set of lecture sessions of the B.Sc Nursing top-up program, in collaboration with the University of Sunderland, were taken by Kathryn King & Rae Morgan. For twenty-five nurses registered for this program.
 


05.09.04 NEW FRANCHISEE AT AMRITSAR
 

Dr. Praveen Sareen, has been appointed as INSCOL Academy’s franchisee in Amritsar, Punjab, under Category A. This centre would be offering the entire spectrum of training programs to Nurses as well as Doctors.
 


15.07.04 AGREEMENT SIGNED WITH UNIVERSITY OF SUNDERLAND
 

Based on the findings of the validation team and their recommendations, the University entered into a MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT with INSCOL for delivery of the B.Sc Nursing program in Chandigarh.

10.05.04 UNIVERSITY OF SUNDERLAND'S VALIDATION PANEL VISIT
 


The Univeristy’s validation panel headed by Mr. Norman Parrington alongwith Dr. David Blackwell and  Mrs. Susie Robertson visited the facility of INSCOL Academy in Chandigarh for approval of INSCOL as a collaborative partner for the University in the franchised delivery of the B.Sc Nursing program. Kathryn King & Rae Morgan also accompanied this panel
 


02.04.04 NEW FRANCHISE AT BATHINDA
 


Dr. Anju Gupta has been appointed as INSCOL Academy's franchisee in Bathinda, Punjab, under Category B. This centre would be offering CGFNS training to nurses as well as on-line training programs for Doctors.
 


26.02.04 PERLIMINARY VISIT BY UNIVERSITY OF SUNDERLAND
 


Rae Morgan, Sub-Dean, International Development & Kathyrn King, Project Leader, both from the University of Sunderland, visited INSCOL academy in Chandigarh for a preliminary discussion to establish a BSc nursing top-up program and addressed a gathering of 70 nurses.
 


05.02.04 BUY-OUT OF MED XEL TUTORIALS
 


INSCOL Academy has acquired the contents rights of the MD/MS preparatory program from Med Xel. Med Xel has been the leading provider of tutorials for the Indian Medical PG entrance examination. INSCOL proposes to offer the tutorial, with value addition through CBT & Web based access, to the students from March, 2004 onwards.
 


SEMINAR ON USMLE/PLAB -
20/12/2003 at INSCOL Academy, Chandigarh

Seminar on USMLE & PLAB was conducted by Dr. Jayant Banerji, MD Internal Medicine in Chandigarh on the 20th Dec, 2003  and on the 18th Dec, 2003 at Ludhiana.
It was highly appreciated by Doctors who participated in the seminar. Highlights of the seminar were Academy’s training program for USMLE in collaboration with EXAM MASTER and for PLAB with PLAB MASTER.

VALUE EDUCATION

Sex Education with its moral ethics and its responsibilities is no longer a taboo subject. Boys and girls today are subject to many questions and a lot of peer pressure. Comprehending right from wrong and understanding abuse was a sensitive issue handled by Dr. Simmanjit for girls and Dr. Hemant urologist for boys.

MEDICAL SEMINAR ON CORONARY DISEASE
16/10/2003 at IFCI
After 45 years of age the heart becomes an even bigger concern. Dr. Deepak Kaura, DM Cardiology took a session sharing vital statistics and facts with the employees of IFCI. The afternoon slipped into evening with the interactive session that ensued.

Special note of appreciation and thanks was given by the General Manager for this valuable session.


 
MINUTES MEAN LIFE

06/10/2003 to 12/10/2003 at Bhawan’s Vidyalay

Every minute is valuable in a medical emergency. Be it at school, home or at your work place. One should be equipped with the essential first aid skills to handle a critical situation. A workshop covering over 20 situations highlighted the actions an individual should take to aid causality. This workshop was conducted foe class XII with special sessions on practical demonstrations. Dr. N.P. Singh came down to the basics required and had a one to one session with the students.

Helping the girls of Shivalik Public School understanding the biological changes and implications of abuse was the core message of the session.
