B.Sc Nursing Top-up Program.

INSCOL Academy has entered into a unique teaching collaboration with the University of Sunderland, UK to offer the BSc (Nursing) top-up program in Chandigarh.
The Post-registration BSc Nursing Program addresses an established need of a large pool of nurses from the sub-continent to seek better socio-economic prospects as well as career advancement and at the same time aims to cater to the ever growing need of qualified nurses by the healthcare facilities in the developed as well as in the developing countries.
Advantage : Healthcare Provider-Recruiter- Healthcare providers in the United Kingdom, faced with an acute shortage of Registered Nurses, stand to benefit in a number of ways :

Ready access to a regular flow of NMC registered nurses with preferred qualification of BSc.(Nursing) from a local University. Healthcare providers are assured that the nurses completing the program would have the requisite knowledge and would be well versed with the prevailing nursing practices. Compared to international nurses recruited directly from overseas, these nurses would require less extensive induction program and could be posted on regular independent duty in a shorter period. The facility saves on its own resources required to train & educate the nurses recruited directly from overseas.Since the nurses would have lived in the UK for some time during their course studies, they would be more socially adapted and would be "ready-for-patients" in all aspects.

Program Objectives - The proposed program has been designed to fulfill the following objectives of the student nurse :
Up gradation of the existing qualification : from the three years’ GNM (Graduate in Nursing & Midwifery) to BSc. degree.
Better job prospects.
Socio-economic benefits.

Eligibility Criteria - The University’s eligibility criteria for recruitment of international students into their Post-registration BSc Nursing Program would be met since all applicant students would have the following :
