The new bachelor of professional nursing is specially designed for nurses qualified overseas. The nurses who graduate from this course will be benefited by upgrading their qualifications as well as will receive recognition that comes from holding an international health qualification.
The bachelor of professional nursing is a one year full time on campus degree available to nurses who have completed a diploma in nursing equivalent.
The course provides students with core advanced healthcare knowledge that is also designed to reflect graduate attributes. The course provides students with opportunities to enhance their critical, reflective and applied abilities in the areas of nursing, health management, and counseling. It also provides an opportunity to pursue further study at the master's level in the field of health.
Please note however, that the Bachelor of Professional Nursing does not provide Registered Nurse status in Australia.
Eligiblity:
A diploma certificate in nursing of at least three years duration from a recognized institution is required.
International students are required to have achieved an overall IELTS score of 6.0, with a level of at least 5.0 in all bands, reading and writing, speaking and listening.

Successful completion of the course will enable graduates to apply for master's candidature in the disciplines of nursing complementary and allied health management.
This course aims to equip students with advanced knowledge and skills required to work in the health care environment. It aims to build on the student's diploma qualification and professional experience. It also aims to further develop their skills specific to the nursing and health management settings.
On completion of this course students will be able to:- Demonstrate advanced understanding of nursing, health management, and counseling theory that is applicable to these settings
- Apply the knowledge and skills acquired through their students to their nursing practice.
- Demonstrate an ability to apply evidence -based practice to clinical decision-making practices in the health care setting.
Course Structure:
Core Units (Complete all)
This unit wills introduce students to the culture and context of the healthcare workplace. In particular, students will gain awareness of theatrical, legal and professional basis of professional nursing practice for Enrolled and Registered Nurses in Australia. Students will be encouraged to consider the nurse's role in the multidisciplinary team within the context of the Australian healthcare system.
